Born and raised in Oklahoma, Loppy first studied art at The Firehouse Art Station in Norman, Oklahoma.
She attended the University of Oklahoma then transferred to the Visual Arts Department of the University of Central Oklahoma, graduating with a B.A. in 1975.
A well-rounded visual arts program gives artists an opportunity to see what it is like to create in many different mediums (or materials) such as clay, paints, wood, metal, glass, etc. The possibilities are endless! Today, her artistic focus is shared by oil painting, clay sculpture and photography.
Loppy enjoys the outdoors, and is a volunteer at The Conservancy of SW Florida, as well as The von Liebig Art Center. She is now living in Naples, Florida and married to her hero and the most wonderful man in the world, Mark Lazar.
